  • A WalletHub analysis found that North Dakota ranks 44th for youth at risk—showing lower percentages for disconnected youth and a lack of a high school diploma—even though 13% of young adults are neither working nor attending school.  KX News

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • A new North Dakota law now lets milk producers sell raw milk products directly to consumers and took effect on Aug 1. It requires labels stating 'made with raw milk' and permits sales for personal use only — sales to wholesalers, retail stores, or donations are not allowed.  KFYR-TV

HEALTH NEWS

  • The North Dakota Department of Environmental Quality warned that smoke from Canadian wildfires will worsen air quality over the coming days, putting children, older adults, and those with breathing problems at risk. Officials advise residents to limit outdoor activity — keep windows and doors closed — when smoke is detected.  KX News
