  • A veterans group is set to host painting + fly fishing workshops in January in Bismarck, with plans for additional activities like rock climbing, and interested veterans should RSVP to organizer Andrew Horning.  KFYR-TV

BUSINESS NEWS

  • Long-time butcher Dan Kraft will retire on Dec. 31 after running Butcher Block Meats for over 30 years on Mandan’s Main Street. The store stays open with his son Braeden and partner Brian Masseth continuing its services, including seasonal meat and cheese trays for holiday orders.  KFYR-TV
  • Bismarck’s Ugly Box Retail remains open and offers great discounts even after confusion grew over the closing of Minot’s similarly named store. Owner Mike Kneeland said his shop is busy and is preparing seasonal toy offerings while his second store is open on Saturdays.  KFYR-TV

SPORTS NEWS

  • Senior gymnast Aspen Roadarmel of Dickinson High made history last season by becoming the first in the state to complete a full-in double back with twist and earning perfect 10s, then plans to focus on pole vault while aiming to finish her final season as a state champion.  KFYR-TV
