ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ The North Dakota Highway Patrol said that renowned pianist Gordon 'Crazyfingers' Lindquist, 88, died in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Highways 83 and 23 near Garrison on Friday + a 32-year-old driver was taken to hospital while tributes poured in and funeral arrangements remain pending. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Postal Service closed four satellite locations in Family Fare stores this fall and now only the station on Rosser Avenue remains in Bismarck — a change that may cause longer lines as holiday shipping peaks. Residents are urged to send packages early since a Family Fare location in Mandan and two main post offices are still open. KFYR-TV
- ➤ Bismarck's Street Department announced it will remove snow in downtown No Parking — Street Cleaning areas this week to keep streets clear for travel. The work is part of the city's efforts to ensure safe access during winter. Bismarck Tribune
- ➤ North Dakota Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring announced that eight projects received $926,800 in APUC funds to support research on new ways to use local crops — the grants, approved at a meeting in Jamestown, include $85,000 for trade show promotion by the Department of Agriculture and nearly $250,000 each for Agristo North Dakota LLC and Independent Data Management to boost their projects.
