- ➤ The Bismarck Larks raised $99,666 for 109 local non-profit organizations over the summer season — with in-game sponsor give-back programs adding over $30,000 — and published their 2025 community impact report; the team will later release a second survey on tourism and local economy impacts. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Andrew Jordan—superintendent of Wilton Public Schools since 2018—has been named ND superintendent of the year by the North Dakota Association of School Administrators. He will represent his state in the National Superintendent of the Year program with recognition scheduled in Nashville in February and in Washington, D.C., in December. KX News
- ➤ Today, the University of Mary announced it received a $1.74 million federal grant to help Native American students pursue graduate studies in school administration, special education or social work through its Native American Education Leadership Program. Eligible students can apply for January 2026 courses—Dr. Brenda Tufte said the grant creates a lasting impact as graduates serve in their communities. KX News
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Amtrak completed upgrades at five stations—Fargo and Devils Lake received $4.5 million each, Williston $10 million, Rugby over $10 million, and Stanley $400,000—as part of its goal to meet ADA standards by 2029. Minot is the only station scheduled for future improvements in 2028, and officials stressed that making stations accessible remains a top priority. KX News
