- ➤ The Magic City Civil Air Patrol Cadets have begun their Wreaths Across America initiative to honor local veterans this holiday season by planning to place 1,000 wreaths at veterans' graves in Rosehill Memorial Cemetery in Minot on December 13—donations for the event will be accepted until November 30. - ➤ Kroll’s Diner, which once was open 24 hours, now closes every evening because of a serious worker shortage—its core staff work long hours as the restaurant adjusts its schedules across all five locations. - ➤ Seventeen years ago today the original Liberty Memorial Bridge was demolished—this bridge was the first interstate crossing of the Missouri River and was built from 1920 to 1922. - ➤ A warm start to October helped many farmers finish harvesting wheat, barley, and oats, but Ag Commissioner Doug Goehring said some are not breaking even due to high input costs. He noted that wheat yields averaged 52 bushels per acre—above the usual 47-48 bushels—and farmers will soon start harvesting soybeans and edible beans as trade talks and aid plans progress. KX News

- ➤ Education officials are updating a series of Native American textbooks to include indigenous voices after Senate Bill 2304 required curriculum on native history; tribal nations contributed new cover art for the revised set. - ➤ The North Dakota Department of Transportation celebrated the 20th anniversary of its Fall Transportation Technician Training Academy at Camp Grafton last week, where a week-long program taught new maintenance team members proper equipment operation and road safety.
