- ➤ A 47-year-old Tennessee man was arrested on Wednesday near Bismarck with 100 grams of fentanyl powder after a traffic stop — his bond was set at $100K. Bismarck Tribune

- ➤ The North Dakota Council on the Arts (NDCA) awarded $119,500 in grants to 68 artists across 36 communities for its Folk and Traditional Arts Apprenticeship Program, which funds four- to ten-month apprenticeships offering instruction, supplies, and travel to preserve traditions like Ojibwe storytelling, Sioux cape making, Norwegian rosemaling, and Bhutanese drumming. - ➤ Bow hunters in Bismarck will start deer archery season tomorrow at noon—however, they must wait for their tags to arrive in the mail before hunting. Wildlife supervisors reported that even with fewer deer in recent surveys, moisture has improved the habitat so mature deer may be found in tighter areas. KX News
