- ➤ Stacker compiled gas statistics for North Dakota showing regular gas at $2.91 statewide as of August 4—Bismarck recorded a higher price at $3.02 while diesel averaged $3.44, with both fuels rising by $0.01 from the previous week. The data also noted that prices remain much lower than the historical peak in past years. KX News
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ The North Dakota Game and Fish Department uses cattle grazing at the Morton County Wildlife Management Area—leased for nearly 10 years by local rancher Scott Ressler—to rejuvenate native prairie and support wildlife, as 50 pairs of cattle are rotated every 20 days from June 1 to mid-August to improve grassland for grouse, deer and wild turkey. - ➤ This past week, HUD Secretary Scott Turner visited North Dakota to review affordable housing efforts and advance policies to meet growing housing needs. He joined a stakeholder roundtable that outlined plans to boost affordable housing through public-private partnerships & increased support for programs like LIHTC enhancements and first-time homebuyer assistance by NDHFA and FHA.
