  • Joey Leone, a music historian, will share stories + fun facts on AM radio hits from the ’60s, ’70s, and ’80s at the Bismarck Veterans Memorial Public Library’s Meeting Room A on July 24 at 6:30 p.m. to highlight tracks by one-hit wonders + connect musical memories for local fans.  KX News

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Earlier this spring, fisheries crews stocked community ponds and lakes with catchable trout, northern pike, catfish and walleye—using fish from the Garrison Dam hatchery and adult traps—to create instant fisheries for anglers statewide. They also released tiger muskie, tiger trout and brown trout—aiming to stock nearly 170 lakes—to boost fishing opportunities.  KFYR-TV

  • North 9th Street will be reduced to one lane between East Avenue F and East Boulevard Avenue starting at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 15 as the City Forestry Division removes a boulevard tree at the intersection — a change scheduled by the city.  City of Bismarck
