- ➤ Four people were arrested after motorcycles and gear were stolen from a shop on the 2100 block of Lee Ave on Saturday, July 5—officers say David Warrick, Sterling Uleberg, Seaaira Wolf and Amber Saenger now face multiple charges with preliminary hearings set for August 11 and a trial on October 29. - ➤ A Minnesota man was arrested over the weekend—he allegedly offered cocaine to employees outside a Bismarck business. Bismarck Tribune
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ The Heritage Center will hold a groundbreaking on July 10 for its new Military Gallery that covers 20,000 square feet and is estimated to cost about $78 million—an exhibit that honors our state’s military heroes with personal stories and Native American military societies. Speeches by Gov. Kelly Armstrong and other officials will open the event, followed by a reception in the Northern Lights Atrium. KX News
- ➤ Musicians Tigirlily Gold from Hazen partnered with ND Tourism to create an anthem inspired by North Dakota's beauty — the song will debut on Thursday. The sisters, Krista and Kendra Slaubaugh, recorded the piece this spring and will perform live at N.D. Country Fest on July 10. KFYR-TV

Capitol tours will be offered on the first Monday of each month and Mandan property owners now have 14 days to remove dangerous trees, with removal costs starting at $2,000 and an interest-free payment plan available. - ➤ The Burleigh County Commission voted Monday to split the auditor/treasurer office by creating an elected auditor and an appointed treasurer effective immediately, a move that Commission Chairman Brian Bitner said will address financial issues.
