- ➤ First responders worked through the past 24 hours to address fireworks-related incidents across western North Dakota — in north Bismarck, a trailer with fireworks caught fire at 71st Street and State Street when a stray firework struck a tent and in southeast Dickinson, a firework injured one person and heavily damaged a garage with crews arriving around 10 p.m. KFYR-TV
- ➤ A Mandan man died in a one-vehicle crash early Saturday morning when he failed to negotiate a curve on County Road 139A at 2:40 a.m.—his pickup overturned in a ditch and he was pronounced dead at the scene. KFYR-TV

- ➤ State biologists report that nearly 500 bighorn sheep live in the area under the care of Game and Fish, the Three Affiliated Tribes, and the park's north unit.
