- ➤ Yesterday marked the 50th anniversary of the violent F4 tornado that destroyed the Focht farm east of Regent on June 29, 1975 and left the family injured with their infant son lost—family members recalled seeking shelter as the storm violently struck. KFYR-TV
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ North Dakota’s annual pheasant crowing count ran from May 1 to June 10 and showed a 6% rise from last year over 100 twenty-mile routes. NDGF game biologist RJ Gross said the southwest had the highest crow rate — over 31 crows per stop — and that upcoming roadside brood counts starting July 20 will better predict fall numbers. KFYR-TV
- ➤ On June 27, social media videos confirmed that a supercell storm produced two tornadoes just north of Bismarck—one rated EF1 that damaged an outbuilding, trailer, and trees near 110th Ave NW, and the other rated EF-U that moved over open field without causing damage. KFYR-TV
