  • A Bismarck woman pleaded guilty under a federal plea agreement in connection with a 2022 fentanyl case — she was sentenced Tuesday to more than eight years in prison followed by four years of supervised release.  Bismarck Tribune
  • A Bismarck woman was arrested after she allegedly fled from a deputy and crashed into the back of a city dump truck while driving under the influence of alcohol—authorities are investigating the incident.  Bismarck Tribune
  • A Bismarck man was charged with reckless endangerment for pointing his gun at another man outside Crossroads Tavern during a fight—police later found cocaine in his pocket, set a $5,000 bond, and scheduled a preliminary hearing for July 21.  KFYR-TV

  • North Dakota State Senator Tim Mathern, who has served since 1986, spoke about Capitol security after the June 14 incident led to the removal of legislator phone numbers and addresses from the website. He said adding measures like locking doors could hurt public access & widen the divide between lawmakers and voters.  KVRR
