  • On Sunday, a memorial honoring fallen EMS professionals stopped in Bismarck as part of its 6,500-mile journey to Arlington for the National EMS Memorial Service. The tribute made 29 stops across 19 states + provided teddy bears for grieving children + offered a chance for local residents to pay their respects.  KFYR-TV

CULTURE NEWS

  • Eighty-one years ago, thousands of young Americans stormed the Normandy beaches & many lost their lives on that day. Local veteran David Erbstoesser said our freedom comes from their bravery & that we must honor their legacy.  KFYR-TV
  • A collection of non-objective mixed media artworks by Fargo artist Nancy Ness will be on display on the 18th floor of the ND State Capitol Building beginning in August during regular business hours. The exhibit features 21 works including acrylic paintings and mixed media pieces—each named after someone important in the artist’s life—and visitors can enter through the south side after passing security.  KX News
