- ➤ Dream Center Bismarck will launch a summer food program for children later this season; the center plans to provide free meals at its facility & support local families. Bismarck Tribune
- ➤ A duck built its nest at the base of a cottonwood tree by the Clem Kelley Athletic Center softball fields in a busy part of the complex, and Park Board members will leave it undisturbed to prevent any issues. KFYR-TV
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Papa's Pumpkin Patch (a cherished fall event) will change this fall, keeping the tradition alive with a new owner, Chase Daunhauer, as longtime owner Dave Pearce steps down. The patch will move slightly to 4205 Burnt Creek Loop while offering old favorites and new surprises. KX News

- ➤ Bismarck Veterans Memorial Public Library is hosting a free Skywarn Severe Weather and Safety Training session with the National Weather Service on Wednesday, June 3 at 6:30 p.m. in Meeting Room A (open to all ages). City of Bismarck
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The North Dakota Department of Transportation warns that lane departure crashes can be deadly if drivers are distracted, tired, speeding or impaired. Officials urge drivers in our area to eliminate distractions + follow posted speed limits for safer travel. KX News
- ➤ USACE issued a Record of Decision for the Dakota Access Pipeline on May 21, reinstating the Lake Oahe easement with new leak detection and monitoring. Standing Rock Sioux Tribe leaders opposed the ruling and plan to challenge it in federal court — aiming to protect treaty lands and drinking water. KX News
