- ➤ On Tuesday, the director of North Dakota Child and Family Services pleaded guilty to stalking his former partner — he will serve nearly a year of probation. Bismarck Tribune
- ➤ A woman is in jail after pleading guilty to stealing nearly $90,000 from a chiropractic office on Divide Avenue, where she forged an unauthorized check using QuickBooks & a stamp and turned herself in to serve just under a year while being ordered to repay over $101,000 in restitution. KX News

- ➤ Bismarck Veterans Memorial Public Library will launch the ‘Color Our World’ Summer Reading Challenge online from May 28 through July 27, offering free participation for all ages. Readers can log minutes with Beanstack to earn badges with every 150 minutes read and will be entered into prize drawings — including a free book at 600 minutes. City of Bismarck
- ➤ Bismarck State College is offering a new Qualified Dental Assistant program taught online + includes required clinical hours at a local dental clinic. More than 20 students will receive full scholarships as the college works to ease the dental staffing shortage in rural areas. KFYR-TV

- ➤ Governor Armstrong approved a $300 million budget on Monday to build a new state hospital in Jamestown that will replace an outdated facility and serve up to 140 patients. Officials said planning is underway and construction crews could break ground by the end of summer – the project is set to finish in 2028. KFYR-TV
- ➤ Burleigh County Auditor and Treasurer Mark Splonskowski has faced misconduct allegations since late 2023 and said he is improving his processes despite admitting to mistakes—he described the investigations as a witch hunt. A special meeting was held Wednesday evening—where the County Commission and State’s Attorney discussed a petition to begin his removal process. KFYR-TV
