CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Coghlan Castle, built in 1909 with local stone, stands along the Turtle Mountain Scenic Byway north of Rolla. Save Coghlan Castle, Inc. holds a 20-year lease to restore the only recorded castle in the state — it is currently fenced off and unsafe for public tours. KFYR-TV
- ➤ The 'We the People: Bison exhibit' will open soon at a local arts venue, offering a fresh look at bison history + cultural heritage. More details on dates and location are forthcoming. KFYR-TV
- ➤ Mandan Middle School’s Band and Bottineau High School’s Concert Choir were chosen as the 2026 Governor’s Band and Chorus, state officials said. The groups — which include about 110 and 70 students respectively — may perform at official events this year. KFYR-TV
