➤ North Dakota veterans on the Western North Dakota Honor Flight joined Gov. Burgum and visited the U.S. Capitol on their second day of the trip. The tour honored veterans and connected local service with national history. KFYR-TV

CULTURE NEWS

➤ Saturday night, the Bismarck-Mandan Civic Chorus celebrated America’s 250th birthday with a spring concert that featured spirituals, folk songs, a Native American lullaby and works by local composers — the audience joined in a singalong. KFYR-TV

EDUCATION NEWS

➤ Mandan Public Schools announced two new principals for the 2026-27 school year. Jamie Entzi will lead Red Trail Elementary replacing retiring Dave Steckler and Nikki Schaff will head Roosevelt Elementary as Wade Meschke transitions to assistant superintendent. KX News

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

➤ Bismarck residents provided input at a public meeting on Sunday night for the Nature Record Assessment, which studies how shifts in lands, waters and wildlife impact local lives + the economy. Public comment remains open through the end of May. KFYR-TV
