Before 2 a.m. on Saturday, Mandan fire crews responded to a house fire on the 600 block of 25th St. SE where they found one person dead—while another escaped, firefighters brought the blaze under control within 45 minutes and the cause is under investigation.

Gas prices in North Dakota increased by about 4 cents per gallon since last month but remain nearly 50 cents lower than this time last year — Bismarck prices are around $3.00 while the state average is $3.02, and analysts expect rising production to support continued declines.
