BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ Bismarck turned day-to-day operations for its event center and auditorium over to Oak View Group under a 20-year contract with $5 million in planned upgrades (box seats and suites among them). The city will monitor services through a board while keeping ownership of the venues. KFYR-TV

GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The ND State Penitentiary will soon screen new inmates for brain injury as part of a program funded by a $550,000 Department of Justice grant in partnership with the North Dakota Brain Injury Network & will offer classes during orientation along with treatment groups for those who test positive. - ➤ Bismarck is running a chlorine gas leak drill today at its water treatment facility — a test of emergency protocols — as officials ensure a prompt safety response if a leak occurs. Bismarck Tribune
