- ➤ 2Vets Moving Co. doubled its moving teams on Friday to help residents move heavy furniture in heavy snow — the company remained cautious and only canceled moves when trucks could not traverse the slippery roads or a No Travel Advisory was issued in Bismarck. KFYR-TV
- ➤ Montana-Dakota Utilities said on Apr. 2 that its Facebook page was hacked and advised customers to ignore posts while it works with Meta to restore access — the company is addressing the situation. KFYR-TV
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ On Thursday afternoon, the Dakota Children’s Advocacy Center debuted a new children’s book (Body Safety with Scout) to teach kids body safety during Child Abuse Prevention Month. The nonprofit plans to distribute more copies across the area with support from donors and partners. KFYR-TV
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Bismarck Public Works Street Department is preparing for a potential long, snowy night plus crews are on standby to clear streets as heavy snow is forecast. KFYR-TV
- ➤ The Memorial Highway project in Mandan restarted early this week — and the city gathered feedback from over 200 residents and 20 business owners to boost communication during reconstruction. Weekly updates via social media, the project website and the city newsletter are planned for this season. KFYR-TV
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Bergan Kinnebrew—a Century High School graduate who played three seasons at the University of Mary—announced on social media that she will transfer to UNLV for her final college basketball season. She visited several Division I programs and earned all-conference honors before making her commitment. KFYR-TV
- ➤ North Dakota native Bailey Vaydich leads Team Johnson as they aim to win back-to-back national titles at the Junior Curling Nationals. The young curlers will take to the ice soon (local fans are excited to see the action). KFYR-TV
