- ➤ City Forester Christy Ames-Davis said the Forestry Division will begin its citywide search for elm bark beetle habitat in firewood piles starting the week of March 24th — if marked elm wood is found, homeowners must remove, burn or debark it within ten days to help prevent Dutch elm disease. - ➤ Gov. Kelly Armstrong vetoed Senate Bill (SB) 2261 on Friday because he said the law might not follow the Constitution. This action was his first veto since taking office. Bismarck Tribune

- ➤ Bismarck city officials & the symphony orchestra are reviewing ways to keep the Fourth of July celebration going after concerns arose from the construction of a new State Laboratory. They will decide on any changes soon so residents know if the event will continue. Bismarck Tribune
